How many tennis courts are being installed?

Phase 1 of the project includes the development of 4 tennis courts and associated lighting.

Will pickleball continue at Knights of Columbus?

A pickleball facility is being installed at Bonnerworth Park, as part of the Bonnerworth Park Redevelopment Project. The intention is to allow separate active recreation hubs for each type of sport, so they do not have to share locations.

Will the park be lit?

Lights will be installed to support evening play on the tennis courts. As with all outdoor sports facilities, lights are on an automatic timer that goes off at 11 p.m.

What is happening to the Legacy Bowl?

There are no planned adjustments to the Legacy Bowl in 2024. Phase 2, being requested in the 2025 capital budget, includes upgrades to this facility.

Does this park project include a washroom facility?

Phase 2, being requested in the 2025 capital budget, includes the installation of a washroom facility.

What is happening to the wading pool?

Upgrades to the wading pool are part of the Outdoor Waterplay Facility Strategy. The Knights of Columbus wading pool location is being requested in the 2025 capital budget.

I am concerned about noise.

A noise study will be completed as part of this project. Recommendations will be made based on the results of the study and will be taken into consideration in the design.
