Public Information Centre #2
As a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Public Information Centre #2 is being held entirely online.
Public Information Centre #2 displays will be available for members of the public, agencies and stakeholders to comment on, ask questions and share their ideas until August 25, 2021. As with Public Information Centre #1, we encourage anyone who has an interest in this study to get involved and share their ideas with the project team.
Public Information Centre #2 details the study process, alternatives considered, preliminary evaluations and recommendations, recommended design and mitigation measures. In general terms, the study has recommended the existing bridge be replaced. The replacement bridge would be constructed to the east of the existing bridge. This allows the existing bridge to remain open until the new bridge is constructed and ready for use.
The new bridge is recommended to be wider than the existing bridge so that pedestrian and cycling infrastructure can be included and so that additional lanes of travel could be added in the future. This widening will support future widening of Television Road if it's needed. The length of the bridge is also recommended to be increased to protect the bridge from flooding.
More specific details are available in the Public Information Centre #2 displays.
